Terra Rijsdijk

My name is Terra Rijsdijk and I am 19 years old. I live in Zwijndrecht, the Netherlands.

After obtaining my HAVO diploma, I enrolled at Grafisch Lyceum in Rotterdam, where I finished the study 'AV-Specialist', where I worked with the Sony FX6, FS7, Z150, Fuji XT2 and the RED. My choice of study stems from an interest in the world of film and video that began at a young age, starting with a love for photography, inspired by my parents, who pursue it as a hobby. I began taking photos in my spare time, and through platforms like TikTok and YouTube, I became interested in short films. This sparked my curiosity: how are such videos made? What does the process involve? I began to dive deeper into the field, which led to a desire to get into this business.

From early February 2025 to late January 2026, I completed an internship at Visser Media en Design in Alblasserdam. This is a creative video and animation company specializing in the production of brand films, marketing videos, employer branding content, social media videos, event aftermovies, and commercials.
During my internship, I was actively involved in both filming and editing. I worked on location with cameras such as the FX6 and FS7, responsible for capturing footage and setting up lighting for various projects. Additionally, I edited multiple videos, both independently and as part of a team, learning how to manage tight deadlines and meet client requirements.
This internship provided me with experience across the entire production process, from preproduction and filming to editing and final delivery. I have further developed my technical skills in camera work and editing and gained a good understanding of what it is like to work within a professional video production company.

I describe myself as eager to learn, committed, and enthusiastic. I am always open to acquiring new knowledge and taking on challenges, and I am motivated to continuously develop myself within the creative field. I enjoy working together with colleagues. I function well in a team environment and communicate clearly to achieve the best possible results.

I view feedback as a valuable opportunity for growth. I take both my work and the feedback I receive seriously, consciously using it to elevate my skills and the quality of my final output. By actively reflecting on my work, I constantly challenge myself to improve.

In addition, I work in a precise and structured manner. I have a keen eye for detail and a critical perspective regarding imagery, color, and composition. These qualities not only help me create strong, visual work but also enable me to evaluate and refine both my own projects and those of my colleagues. This allows me to provide constructive feedback and contribute to the overall quality of the final product.

I am a creative person with a wide range of interests, particularly within the creative world. I enjoy listening to music, dancing, drawing, and singing, and I have an interest in theater and concerts. I am active in photography and videography. I love capturing moments and experimenting with light, composition, and perspective. Above all, I love creating, whether on paper, on screen, or on stage. For me, creativity is the ultimate form of self-expression.
